We believe that in an era of uncertainty and unsettling events, in the midst of social and ecological degradation, profound changes are needed in the way we live to keep our planet in a livable condition. To achieve this, a personal and collective transformation is needed. And is needed now!
Who are we?
We are an organization that co-creates the transition towards more sustainable living systems that allow eco-social well-being and more satisfying and responsible lives. For this we have a transdisciplinary team of researchers and academics in master's and doctoral degrees in the areas of natural, social and human behavior sciences, supported by experts in practical sustainability and social innovation.
What do we do?
Through scientific, participative and inclusive research tools, and our experiential academic services, we carry out transition actions together with our partners in different parts of Colombia and abroad.
How do we do it?
We believe in "sustainability in practice" and in the proverb "I am because we are", therefore our work ethic impels us to walk the discourse in collaboration with others. We weave then through the exchange and co-creation of learning between different actors, for example, between formal academia and grassroots communities.
The ethics and philosophy that distinguishes us
The ethics and philosophy of Minds in Transition is based on the understanding that it is necessary not only to focus on reducing carbon emissions, recycling and mitigating or adapting to climate change, but also to discontinue unsustainable habits and paradigms driven by the discourses, the ideals and the current publicity.
Through the disruption of the status quo, the care of the basic processes and the use of collective intelligence, we generate Learning T: Transgressive, Transformative and Transdisciplinary; which drives us to regenerate our mentality towards critical thinking, our action towards inclusive and fair processes, and our emotion, towards an interconnection that allows us to experience a world where we all fit.
It is for this reason that our students become agents of change that are linked to real life projects responding to needs and opportunities identified in conjunction with our Partners.
